A Howling Good Visit from Watermill Wolves

Manor Wood School recently welcomed some very special visitors when Watermill Wolves joined us for an unforgettable day, bringing along three magnificent wolves for our pupils to meet.

The visit gave pupils a unique opportunity to learn more about these incredible animals, including their behaviour, habitats and the importance of conservation.

Throughout the day, our pupils showed fantastic curiosity, confidence and respect. They listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions and engaged brilliantly with the Watermill Wolves team.

For some of our young people, getting close to such powerful and majestic animals meant stepping outside of their comfort zone, making the experience an even greater achievement. It was wonderful to see pupils supporting one another, building their confidence and embracing such a unique opportunity.

Experiences like this play an important part in learning beyond the classroom. As well as creating lasting memories, they can help pupils develop communication skills, confidence, resilience and emotional regulation.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part. The pupils’ behaviour, enthusiasm and willingness to get involved were a real credit to themselves and to Manor Wood School.
